Frequently Asked Questions

Is prior Spanish experience required?

Absolutely not. Our Level 1 curriculum is designed specifically for total beginners. Even if you have never spoken a single sentence in Spanish, you will fit right in.

What if I feel nervous about speaking?

It is completely natural to feel hesitant. These sessions are designed to be low-pressure environments with very small groups, so you never feel forced into the spotlight. Most students find that the supportive atmosphere helps them speak much more than they initially expected.

What is the typical class size?

Group sessions are capped at 3 to 5 students to ensure everyone receives ample speaking time. If you prefer personalized attention, you may book a 1:1 private session for more focused instruction.

Am I able to change my level?

Yes. If you find your current level is either too challenging or too simple, you can easily transfer to a different class. We want to ensure you are always learning in an environment suited to your skills.

What is the policy for missed classes?

If a conflict arises, simply book the next available session that fits your schedule. There are no penalties or makeup requirements. For members with a Class Replay subscription, you can access the full recording and transcript of your session so you never miss a moment of instruction.

How do I handle session cancellations?

Please notify me as early as possible if you cannot attend so I can open the spot for another student. Group classes are pay-as-you-go, so there are no ongoing cancellation fees. Note that the Class Replay Membership is a separate subscription that can be managed or canceled at any time.

Which dialect of Spanish is taught here?

We focus on a clear, widely understood version of Spanish used throughout Latin America. Rather than focusing on a single regional dialect, we prepare you to communicate effectively with speakers from any country.

What are the current tuition rates?

Our group sessions are $12 per class with no long-term commitment. Your first group class is free. If you prefer individual instruction, private 1:1 sessions are available for $35 per hour. Classes are scheduled Wednesday through Saturday at various times to accommodate different time zones. One-on-one sessions are offered Tuesday through Saturday. Please visit the Classes page for current availability. To redeem your free trial class, use the code FIRSTCLASSL1, FIRSTCLASSL2, or FIRSTCLASSL3 at checkout depending on your level. This code provides a 100% discount on your first group session.

When are classes scheduled?

Group classes are held Wednesday through Saturday with rotating time slots to accommodate global schedules. Each session lasts one hour. Private 1:1 sessions are available Tuesday through Saturday. You can view the live schedule in your local time zone on the Classes page.

How can I redeem my free first class?

Enter your level's code at checkout: **FIRSTCLASSL1** for Level 1 — Get Talking, **FIRSTCLASSL2** for Level 2 — Get Fluent in the Flow, or **FIRSTCLASSL3** for Level 3 — Becoming Bilingual. The code makes your first class free and can be used once per student. Codes are case sensitive, so copy and paste them exactly. Group classes only — the free class does not apply to 1:1 private sessions.
